EpicQuest Education Group International Limited (NASDAQ: EEIQ), a premier higher education institution serving domestic and international students in the US, Canada, and the UK, has reached a new partnership agreement to extend its global reach further. The company-owned and operated Davis University has signed a contract agreement with South China University of Technology for the creation of a foundational program at the university's University Town Campus. The contract will be effective until January 2027.
Jianbo Zhang, the CEO of EpicQuest Education, spoke about the significance of the collaboration, adding that foundation programs represent a unique revenue stream in addition to the other sources of income from its US and Canadian institutions. He indicated that the agreement represents EpicQuest Education's third foundation program in China, cementing the company's connections with a high-quality and well-regarded university in the country.
The new two-year foundational program will enable students to finish their foundational studies in China and then attend Davis University's Toledo, Ohio campus, where they can use their credits to pursue a four-year bachelor's degree. Further, students could be able to pursue Davis' pathway programs, which offer a route to prestigious universities. Zhang emphasized that giving students multiple avenues of study is a top priority, allowing them to define their own educational journey and career objectives.
EpicQuest Education continues to earn revenue from several sources, including international students studying at Davis University and EduGlobal College in North America, students pursuing foundational programs in their home countries, and local students studying at Davis and EduGlobal, as well as Miami University Regionals' recruiting services. Revenue is also earned from student services such as housing on campus and other related fees.
The company now has flagship programs at two of China's leading universities Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. South China University of Technology adds to its presence in the region even further. The initial cohort at South China University of Technology will have around 120 students, and the program is scheduled to commence in the Fall 2025 semester. Enrollment has started, and admissions of students are expected to gain momentum after China's national entrance examination for higher education in early June 2025.
Internationalization is EpicQuest Education's long-term approach, with its emphasis on further opening up opportunities for global learning and building harmonious academic pipelines. The corporation plans to position Davis University and EduGlobal College as top global institutions for education, enabling global students to be able to obtain quality academic education and career options. Zhang reiterated the firm's dedication to improving global education, providing students with access to world-class learning opportunities and solid professional opportunities. With its ongoing growth, EpicQuest Education is becoming a worldwide leader in higher education, developing cross-border academic cooperation and student achievement.
