DIDAC India 2024 Asia's Largest Education and Skills Expo Inaugurated in Delhi

  • Asia’s largest and India’s only exhibition and conference, Didac India, commenced at the India International Convention & Expo Centre, Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. Organized by Messe Stuttgart India in collaboration with the India Didactics Association (IDA), the event focuses on education and skill development resources. The inauguration was led by renowned Indian spiritual leader, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, in the presence of key dignitaries including Mr Gavin Dykes, Programme Director of EWF & ASES; Prof. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of the National Educational Technology Forum (NETF), NBA and EC, NAAC; and Mr Ahmed Shafeeu, Minister of State for Higher Education, Labour, and Skills Development, Government of the Republic of Maldives.

    Speaking at Didac India 2024 Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan states that,  Education is the key priority for their visit to India. A new refreshed India strategy was launched in Delhi and this time Victoria has doubled down on Education. She further added that there are 200 academic and research collaborations between Victoria and India and Victoria stands as the number one destination for Indian International students. Transnational education is the greatest opportunity for growth, she further added.

    The first day of the 14th edition of Didac India started with an exciting convergence of education leaders, policymakers, and industry experts worldwide. Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, Founder of the Art of Living Foundation, and Lifetime President, of Sri Sri Group of Schools and University addressed the educators and industry leaders as a keynote speaker. TIESS (The International Education and Skills Summit)  witnessed exclusive panel discussions addressing the needs of the entire education system including sessions like, “Beyond NEP- Pathways to light and tight governance model”, “Fostering emergent, distributed and authentic leadership in education” and “Teaching in the age of AI-redefining the classroom”. 

    Shri Aditya Gupta, CEO of the India Didactics Association, highlighted that DIDAC India 2024 aligns with the Indian government's vision to enhance the nation’s education system. He emphasized that the event brings together thought leaders, educators, policymakers, and industry experts from around the globe for in-depth discussions and a global showcase. Gupta noted that India is undergoing a significant transformation in the education and skilling sectors, driven by the integration of AI and technology-based solutions. In response to this growing demand, the 14th edition of DIDAC India will feature a wide range of innovative and futuristic solutions aimed at strengthening the sector.

    The participating countries include Maldives, Germany, Finland, the State of Victoria, the State of New South Wales and the UK. Additionally, International representatives from the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, BESA, Didacta, Global Victoria, Education Finland, New South Wales Government, SEAMEO, and representatives from the Indian States have also graced the occasion. 

    More than 300 brands from over 20 countries, including major names like Google, Apple, HP, Samsung, IBO, BenQ, Janatics, Pearson, and Roombr, will be showcasing over 5,000 products and technologies at DIDAC India 2024 until September 20, 2024. Exhibits will feature innovations such as AI, drones, educational supplies, IoT, robotics, AV equipment, lab equipment, infrastructure, AR, VR, and more. The event is seeing participation from key leaders in education, including owners and trustees, chancellors and vice-chancellors, directors, chairpersons, principals, heads of departments, professors, teachers, registrars, and senior management from top institutions spanning early education, K-12, higher education, and vocational education.
