China-Pakistan Alliance Reveals Major Industrial-Education Initiatives

  • The 2024 China-Pakistan Vocational Education Cooperation and Development Seminar, held in Wuxi, China, was recently organized by Tangfeng International Education Group and supported by Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Education Commission and various other government agencies.

The seminar saw the participation of over 300 attendees, including Afifa Shajia Awais, Education Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in China, as well as leaders and experts from the educational and industrial sectors of both China and Pakistan. During the event, key achievements of the China-Pakistan International Industrial-Education Cooperation Alliance were highlighted, as reported by Gwadar Pro on Wednesday. Afifa Shajia Awais noted that in recent years, Pakistan’s Provincial Technical Education and Vocational Training Authorities have worked closely with Tangfeng on initiatives such as the CCTE program, Chinese language courses, short-term training, and industry-education integration projects. These collaborations have provided valuable learning opportunities for Pakistani youth and continuously introduced new talent into the industrial cooperation between the two countries.

Additionally, the Pakistan National Vocational and Technical Education Commission will collaborate with Tangfeng to integrate 210 programs into Pakistan’s vocational education system, tailored to meet the needs of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. By utilizing a digital and green industry-education cooperation model, this partnership seeks to enhance vocational education integration between the two nations, setting the stage for a new chapter of high-quality collaboration.

During the national-level project launch ceremony, Gulmina Bilal Ahmad, Chairperson of Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Education Commission, delivered a video address. She emphasized that since its establishment over a year ago, the China-Pakistan International Industrial-Education Cooperation Alliance has facilitated the development of numerous in-depth cooperation projects between institutions and businesses in both countries, yielding remarkable results.

The event also saw the inclusion of more than 70 new Chinese institutions into the Alliance, which will work together with Pakistan’s education authorities and Tangfeng International Education Group to enhance China-Pakistan educational collaboration. Additionally, Afifa Shajia Awais recognized Liaoning Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College as a co-builder of the “Pak-China Friendship Language Center” and observed the launch of the China-Pakistan Digital Curriculum and Standards Project, with eight Chinese institutions participating in this initiative.
