The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, in collaboration with IT Academy STEP Cambodia and DVV International Cambodia, is launching the inaugural national lifelong learning forum titled "Digital Technology Represents Lifelong Learning Opportunities." This groundbreaking event aims to leverage digital technology to promote ongoing education and skill development, with the participation of over 80 institutions.
Central to the forum's agenda are discussions on the vital role of continuous education in driving economic growth, shaping the job market, and enhancing skills. Additionally, there will be an exploration into how digital technology can serve as a catalyst for expanding lifelong learning opportunities. The anticipated outcomes of the forum include the formulation of action plans to integrate digital technology into educational frameworks, with a specific focus on increasing youth participation in skills training and supporting the development of Cambodia's workforce.
Kong Samneang, who heads the Federation of Education Services in Cambodia, has voiced strong support for the initiative, emphasizing the significance of embracing lifelong learning for human development. He underscores the importance of continuous learning for personal advancement and wisdom across various life stages, highlighting digital technology's role in elevating educational standards.
The ministry is urging all stakeholders in education to actively promote the forum, signalling a nationwide commitment to enhancing lifelong learning through digital innovation.
