Balochistan Launches Enrollment Drive to Educate 2.5 Million Children

  • In the frosty regions of Balochistan, the commencement of the academic year is evident as schools in 20 districts open their doors, marking a fresh start. This year, the education department is embarking on an ambitious enrollment campaign titled 'Children, Let's Go to School,' with the aim of bringing over 2.5 million children into the education system.

This initiative is a significant milestone in Balochistan's educational journey. The campaign seeks to enrol 269,143 new students across the province, showcasing the government's dedication to expanding educational access and promoting a culture of learning. To facilitate enrollment and alleviate financial burdens on families, the education department plans to distribute free textbooks to students in grades one to twelve.

The administration has nearly completed the printing of these books, ensuring their availability at the beginning of the academic year. It is important to note that schools in Balochistan have been closed for winter vacations since December 16. The reopening of schools not only marks the conclusion of the holiday season but also signifies the start of a promising new phase in Balochistan's educational landscape.

With these initiatives in place, the province is set to make substantial progress in education this year. The 'Children, Let's Go to School' campaign serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path toward a brighter and more educated future for the children of Balochistan.
