Repton School Abu Dhabi, following its launch of the Fry Campus in September 2017, has opened a new British-curriculum campus in Abu Dhabi capable of accommodating approximately 1,800 students. Presently, the campus hosts 182 pupils aged 3-6, with plans to introduce three additional year groups (up to Year 9) starting in September for the academic year 2018-2019. Ultimately, the school aims to offer specialized facilities catering to students aged 3-13.
Situated on a 25,000-square-meter site on Al Reem Island, the new campus of Repton School in Abu Dhabi represents a substantial expansion alongside its existing Rose Campus of the Repton Foundation School, which began in September 2013. Together, these campuses will accommodate a total of 2,300 students. Currently awarded a 'Band A' rating by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek), the school's new facilities are set to enhance its educational offerings significantly.
"The opening of this new campus will give a tremendous boost to our mission to innovate in terms of our approach to teaching and learning by providing specialist facilities", said Robert Relton, principal, Repton School Abu Dhabi. "We have a curriculum that blends the best of the British schooling system and the vibrancy of UAE culture aligned to our vision to be the premier technology school in the UAE while being supported by our achievement of being an Apple Distinguished School".
He added that the success of Repton has also been due to the strong support from the parent community. "We look forward to creating a truly inclusive and supportive learning environment for our pupils while continuing to set high academic standards", said Relton. Khaled Al Mheiri, chairman, Evolvence Knowledge Investments, said, "We are very pleased to open this new campus to support our vision of offering world-class education to children in Abu Dhabi. We are committed to supporting the UAE leadership's emphasis on education".
