At the Macao Polytechnic University, the Pan-Pearl River Delta+ University IT Projects Competition Final was launched on July 3. Numerous pupils across 17 different provinces and cities, including Guangdong, Hainan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hunan, Fujian, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Hong Kong, Sichuan, Hubei, Chongqing, Heilongjiang, Macao, Xinjiang, and Taiwan, took part in the tournament, where witnessed 60 teams progress to the finale. Im Sio Kei, Rector of the Macao Polytechnic University, stated during the opening event that China's position on the index of global innovation has risen recently and has been recognized as one of the inventive nations. The Pan-Pearl River Delta+ University IT Projects Competition has entered the next phase and it grows to include more and more regions. It has received a greater spotlight because of its increasing significance in both business and academia. We want to strengthen China's position in the fields of science and technology by promoting young students' interest in and excitement for innovation and science with the contest.
The Pan-Pearl River Delta+ University IT Projects Competition has been held annually since 2006 and is growing in popularity and the quantity of participating teams each year, according to Zhu Qingsheng, vice president of the National Association for Research on Computer Education in Higher Education and vice chairman of the competition organizing committee. It has become one of China's most significant national events in the area of computer science. Among of the competition's attractions is that it features teams from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao as well as teams from the mainland, giving Chinese university students a forum for intellectual exchange of technological advancement. The National Association for Higher Education in Computing, the Pan-Pearl River Delta+ University IT Projects Competition Organising Committee, the Macao Computer Society, the Computer Academy of Guangdong, the Hong Kong Internet Professional Association, the Taiwan Association for Web Intelligence Consortium, the Yunnan Computer Federation, and the Hainan Province Computer Federation co-organized the 2023 Pan-Pearl River Delta+ University IT Projects Competition Final. Tens of thousands of university students from all throughout China participated in the tournament. The Macao Polytechnic University hosted the final competition, where all teams were prepared to present their concepts in competition for prizes.
