"Bakeman's Third International Language League" will be Returning Announced NSU

  • North South University's (NSU) Department of English and Modern Languages confirmed the revival of Bakeman's 3rd International Language League, the nation's biggest language Olympiad. Following the unprecedented popularity of the previous two language leagues organized in 2019 and 2022, the 2019 tournament promised to be even greater with involvement from over 50,000 students around the country.

A press conference took place at North South University's Syndicate Hall to mark the start of the completely fresh season of ‘Bakeman's 3rd International Language League’, a program co-powered by AECC Global. Recognized guests attended the event, including Md Shafiqul Islam Tushar, chief marketing officer of Akij Bakers Limited, senior lecturer Mehedi Hasan, professor Abdur Rob Khan, dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and AQMA Rahman Bhuiyan, chairman of the Department of English and Modern Languages. These individuals expressed their backing for the language league.

The renowned Language League, administered by NSU, attempts to promote language study and evaluate language proficiency in English, Bangla, and other languages. The event's first year in 2019 focused primarily on English, Bangla, and Chinese; the next year also featured German and French. The addition of indigenous Bangladeshi languages would raise the level of the event this year and showcase the nation's linguistic diversity. This year's tournament is accessible to students in class one through university, as compared to prior editions that were only open to junior and tertiary level students.

Spelling Bee, Wall Magazine, Grammar, Debate, Short Story Writing, Public Speaking, and Handwriting are only a handful of the seven exciting categories that will be included in the competition's three phases (Divisional, Semi-Final, and Final). More information on the Bakeman's Third International Language League, particularly registration information, will be accessible on the website, according to the organizers.

Students and language lovers are asked to monitor updates as the competition gets prepared to begin and take advantage of the chance to take part in this spectacular festival of linguistic excellence. The Bakeman's Third International Language League looks to be a historic occasion that honors Bangladesh's rich linguistic legacy while fostering language skills. It is predicted to be a lively platform for students to demonstrate their language proficiency and promote a greater understanding of the nation's linguistic variety.
