The 2024 Thailand-Taiwan Higher Education Fair and Job Counseling Event will take place from August 30 to 31 at Samyan Mitrtown in Bangkok. This event is designed to strengthen educational exchanges between Taiwan and Thailand, enhance mutual understanding, build strong international partnerships, and raise the profile of Taiwanese higher education. It also aims to boost Thai students' interest in pursuing higher education and career opportunities in Taiwan.
Scheduled daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the fair will showcase 27 renowned Taiwanese universities and institutions presenting their international programs and scholarship options. This year, the event has broadened its focus to include the business sector, with seven Taiwanese companies joining to recruit Thai-speaking professionals.
Participating institutions will offer in-depth information about their programs, admission processes, and scholarships. The Steering Committee for the Test of Proficiency-Huayu will also be available to provide comprehensive details on the TOCFL for students interested in studying in Taiwan. Additionally, seven Taiwanese companies will be present to offer job counseling for Thai students. Attendees will not only gain valuable insights into studying and working abroad but also have the opportunity to enter a lucky draw, with prizes including a free three-month Mandarin Chinese language course from Taiwan’s Language Centers. Thai students, teachers, and parents are warmly invited to join.
Taiwan's high-quality higher education has received international acclaim and is a key driver of the country’s economic growth. It has become a top choice for students from Southeast Asian countries seeking further education abroad, with the number of international students in Taiwan in 2023 surpassing 110,000, including a record 6,118 students from Thailand. Taiwan's excellent learning environment helps students enhance their English and Mandarin Chinese language skills, enrich their international cultural exchange experiences, and improve their competitiveness in the job market.
Alongside their strong educational partnership, Taiwan and Thailand are dedicated to offering more practical training opportunities for students. For example, Taiwan’s New Southbound Policy International Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs provide Thai students with valuable additional training experiences.
