QCDC Opens Registration For 'My Career - My Future' Programme 6th Edition

  • Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), established by Qatar Foundation (QF), has launched registration for the sixth installment of the 'My Career - My Future' program in 2024, scheduled to occur from August 4 to 8.

Conducted entirely in Arabic, the program targets high school students in grades 10 to 12, offering them firsthand exposure to diverse professional fields within Qatar. These sectors include Medicine, Media and Communications, Telecommunications, Business and Financial Services, Tourism, Engineering, Technology, Humanitarian and Social Work, among others. The initiative aims to assist students in making informed choices about their academic and career paths, exploring potential future careers, and cultivating their areas of interest.

Saad Al Kharji, Manager of Career Programs and Services at QCDC, has expressed optimism about the upcoming sixth edition of the program: "We prioritize experiential learning and practical exposure for high school students because of the valuable opportunities they offer. These programs spotlight crucial economic sectors and career pathways, in line with our national sustainable development objectives, ensuring students embark on fulfilling careers".

Al Kharji added,“Over the years, we have seen how 'My Career - My Future' empowers students to become self-reliant, ask critical questions about their academic paths, and gain essential transferable skills. We aim for this year's edition to further equip Qatar's youth as they strive towards their optimal career futures”.

Upon successful completion of the internship, students will receive participation certificates detailing their hours spent at the participating institutions. Those interested can register for the program and select their preferred institutions. Once registration is complete, participants will receive a confirmation email along with instructions for payment.
