Global leader in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and advanced technology solutions, Staque entered a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Thumbay Group's Gulf Medical University and its Thumbay College of Management and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare. The group was established by Dr. Thumbay Moideen in 1997. The group operates as an international conglomerate, with a broad range of operations in education, healthcare, medical research, diagnostics, retail pharmacy, wellness, hospitality, and more. Based in Dubai, the group now employs around 3,000 people. This partnership looks to drive innovation by infusing AI and quantum computing into healthcare education, training, and research, thus having the potential to revolutionize the region's healthcare and technology sectors. The MoU explains a collaborative approach to the transformative power of AI, which would both advance academia and facilitate real-world application. This collaboration works towards the aim of putting the UAE in the leading position in technology and striving to put GMU and Staque in the center of global advancements in health.
A new agreement between Staque and GMU sets the stage for several groundbreaking initiatives aimed at advancing AI in healthcare. Key initiatives include the establishment of the Thumbay-Staque Lab in Artificial Intelligence on GMU’s campus, which will serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and practical applications in areas such as diagnostics, personalized medicine, and healthcare operations. The partnership also focuses on creating internship and employment pathways, with Staque facilitating internships, short placements, and employment opportunities for TCMAIH students, empowering UAE nationals and integrating local talent into the global healthcare technology landscape. Additionally, Staque and GMU will collaborate on AI programs, developing fellowship, short-term, and long-term courses in healthcare AI with a revenue-sharing model to ensure sustainability. Joint research initiatives will be supported through the Thumbay International Research Grant, targeting high-impact areas like AI, quantum computing, and healthcare. Finally, global collaboration and expertise sharing will be fostered through faculty and staff exchanges, as well as industry partnerships, driving regional and international expansions of both TCMAIH’s and Staque’s initiatives.
Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group UAE, commented, “Our partnership with Staque is a natural extension of our commitment to advancing healthcare education and practice. By integrating AI into our curriculum and research initiatives, we are empowering our students and faculty to become leaders in a rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem”.
Dr. Muhammad Khan, CEO of Staque, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in merging AI and healthcare education. By establishing the Thumbay-Staque Lab, we are taking significant steps toward a future where AI drives meaningful improvements in patient outcomes, operational efficiencies, and healthcare innovation”.
Staque, with its expertise in AI, quantum computing, and robotics, has partnered with GMU, known for its academic excellence, to address critical challenges and unlock new opportunities in healthcare and education. This collaboration focuses on three key areas: AI-powered diagnostics, where advanced algorithms and quantum computing are used for early disease detection and personalized treatment planning with unmatched speed and accuracy; adaptive learning systems, leveraging AI to create personalized educational experiences for healthcare professionals, enhancing training efficiency and addressing skill gaps; and healthcare operations optimization, where autonomous intelligence solutions are implemented to streamline administrative workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve the overall patient experience. Together, Staque and GMU aim to revolutionize healthcare by integrating cutting-edge technologies into diagnostics, education, and operations.
“Medical research and practices are ripe for innovation. Accuracy, accessibility and affordability issues have a critical impact on global health care. The adoption of AI and quantum computing are essential to address these issues” said Dr. Raees Tonse, Staque Board Member who catalyzed the partnership.
The Thumbay-Staque partnership also explores regional and international opportunities for expanding AI and quantum computing programs, enabling students and professionals to access world-class resources and tools. These initiatives will not only strengthen the UAE’s position as a global innovation hub but also set new benchmarks for integrating emerging technologies into healthcare systems.
