This cutting-edge facility serves as a premier medical simulation centre catering to the training needs of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, allied health workers, and medical students. With a wide array of simulation facilities, ranging from basic to intricate medical scenarios, the centre offers realistic, hands-on training experiences across various medical disciplines. Notably, it boasts specialized units for adults, and paediatrics, and a unique pregnant woman simulation unit, providing immersive training opportunities.
Furthermore, the centre is equipped with state-of-the-art endoscopy and ultrasound simulators, along with apparatus for simulated burns and trauma management, enhancing the breadth of training opportunities available. Hospital officials emphasize that these diverse simulators support multidisciplinary training and skill development, reinforcing the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care.
During the opening ceremony, Dr. Marwan Alkaabi, acting CEO of SSMC, highlighted the institution's focus on adopting innovative technology and procedures to enhance patient care.
