PureHealth, the largest healthcare platform in the Middle East, recently concluded its inaugural Executive Leadership in Healthcare Management Programme in collaboration with RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. This initiative aligns with PureHealth's strategic goals of Emiratisation and aims to nurture the next generation of Emirati healthcare leaders.
Rashed Al Qubaisi, Group Chief Corporate Officer at PureHealth, emphasized the importance of investing in human capital to foster future leaders who will drive Abu Dhabi’s healthcare system towards continued excellence. He highlighted that the collaboration with RCSI (a prestigious institution), provides high-potential leaders within PureHealth with exposure to diverse leadership techniques, perspectives, and global best practices.
This enables them to gain a comprehensive understanding of both internal and external dynamics affecting the healthcare sector. Al Qubaisi expressed confidence that the first group of Executive Leaders is now equipped to handle the complexities of the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape and to enhance Abu Dhabi’s global healthcare leadership.
The programme comprised three modules designed to enhance self-awareness and self-improvement, leadership and management skills, and future-oriented strategic thinking. The initial module focused on resilient leadership, utilizing case studies and personal psychometric analyses to deepen participants' understanding of themselves. The second module addressed critical evaluation of change models, conflict management, and performance management systems.
The final module emphasized strategic planning, network building, and effective leadership through evidence-based decision-making, along with developing political intelligence and acumen. This comprehensive training equips the new cohort of leaders with the skills necessary for sustaining Abu Dhabi's healthcare sector’s long-term success.
