The European Arab Medical Congress 2024 concluded in Abu Dhabi, with the city confirmed as the host for the upcoming editions in 2025 and 2026. The event was organized by the Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies, part of the Emirates Science and Research Foundation, in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination, the ArabMed Union in Europe, and the European Medical Association. The congress was also supported by the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau.
On its final day, the congress featured scientific sessions that delved into recent advancements in medicine and healthcare. Experts from both the UAE and Europe participated in these discussions. The sessions covered topics such as bone marrow extract applications in modern therapies, evolving treatment strategies over generations, and new surgical techniques backed by global expertise.
Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Centre and Vice Chancellor of its Board of Trustees, highlighted the event's success. Key points included enhancing partnerships among medical institutions for joint research, investing in advanced technologies like artificial intelligence to improve daily medical practices' efficiency, organising joint educational programs for continuous medical education, facilitating international collaboration opportunities in research, and establishing projects addressing chronic diseases.
