Andhra University to Participate in Globeheal Public Health Conference

  • Andhra University joins in one of the prominent Globeheal Public Health Conferences set to take place at Bangkok, Thailand, from 20 February 2025. It is one of the planned events to bring together global experts, particularly academics, researchers, healthcare professionals, and policymakers, to share ideas and dramatically discuss public health challenges on issues that require urgent needs, and to share an international approach.

AU Registrar E.N. Dhanamjaya Rao confirmed participation of the university on receiving an online discussion with a delegation of The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka. The finalization process of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) formalizing the participation of AU at this conference has been made. It is going to get formally signed by the end of this month.

Rao reflected on the commitment Andhra University had towards furthering public health programs, referring to the rich history the university had in healthcare education. The AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences made very significant contributions to shaping health policies at every level: regional and national.

"It is a great opportunity for our university to showcase itself, specially on community medicine, health management, and disease prevention", said Rao. According to Rao, the conference would focus on important areas such as global health equity, digital health, pandemic preparedness, and environmental health.

The participation underlines AU's commitment to global health dialogue and innovation.
