Representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) in Vietnam recently concluded a productive visit to the University of West Alabama (UWA) aimed at strengthening their institutional ties. During the visit, the two universities formalized their commitment to collaboration and mutual development by signing an agreement. UWA President Ken Tucker expressed his satisfaction with hosting the esteemed representatives from HCMUE, highlighting the visit as a significant step towards building global partnerships and advancing educational excellence.
HCMUE President Huynh Van Son also expressed optimism about the prospects of future collaborations, emphasizing the enriching experience of the visit and the potential for leveraging their combined strengths to make a positive impact in the field of education. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Mark Davis and Akali Fulmer from UWA's international programs, along with Dr. Huynh Xuan Nhut from HCMUE's international cooperation office. Attendees included UWA President Ken Tucker, Provost Tina Jones, Dr. Jeffery Merida from UWA's College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and Dr. Jan Miller from UWA's College of Education.
The HCMUE delegation comprised President Huynh Van Son, Vice President Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Khong from the Office of Science, and Dr. Do Tat Thien from the Psychology department. Additionally, representatives from Alabama International Education and Economic Partnership (ALIEEP), including Executive Director Meesoon Han, and Grace Lee from the Global Education Institute, were also present.
