On July 19, the Certus Institute’s Arequipa branch and the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Lima hosted a pivotal event titled 'Scholarship Opportunities in Russia'. The conference aimed to inform attendees about pursuing professional degrees in Russia and explore various scholarship options.
Alexandra Egorova, Director of the Russian Center of Science and Culture, kicked off the event by highlighting the diverse study opportunities available in Russia and the scholarships offered to Peruvian residents. She provided a comprehensive overview of the benefits and pathways for prospective students.
Following Egorova’s presentation, Delfina Zakharova and Tatyana Iazdanova, representatives from Ural Federal University (UrFU), detailed the university’s offerings. Zakharova, the manager of the International Marketing and Communication Office, and Iazdanova, the manager of the International Admissions Office, elaborated on UrFU’s educational and academic mobility programs. They addressed various aspects of studying at UrFU, including opportunities for those without prior knowledge of Russian.
Attendees had the chance to inquire about practical matters such as accommodation, eligibility criteria for different age groups, and available scholarships. The conference was significantly supported by Moisés Quiñones, a Professor of Entrepreneurship at Certus, who played a key role in organizing the event.
