On November 21, the University College London (UCL) initiated a scholarship program aimed at facilitating 100 of India's most talented students to pursue studies at one of the globe's top universities in the UK. The announcement specifies the availability of 33 scholarships for the 2024-25 academic session, specifically targeting outstanding students with a first-class degree or those on the path to achieving one.
An additional 67 scholarships will be granted over the subsequent two years. The UCL India Excellence Scholarships offer £5,000 grants for prospective Master's students across all academic fields. Additionally, UCL has announced plans for its inaugural Summer School in India, situated at The British School campus in New Delhi.
This initiative aims to provide pre-university Indian students with an experience akin to studying at a top-tier UK university. Scheduled from June 10 to 14, 2024, the UCL India Summer School will involve five distinguished UCL professors delivering modules to 50 students from years 10 and 11, fostering interactive learning in small group settings.
