In recent times, there has been a noticeable surge in the number of Indian students opting for international education, driven by the prospect of receiving high-quality education, gaining global exposure, and enhancing career opportunities while immersing themselves in a foreign cultural environment. With the mission of aiding Indian students in lifelong learning and success, the Singapore Institute of Management Global Education (SIM GE) is actively expanding its presence in India through collaborations with schools and Higher Education Institutes (HEIs). This initiative aims to offer transnational pathways and international education opportunities to learners. Additionally, SIM GE has established Overseas Training Centres (OTCs) in India, focusing on industry-centric, skill-oriented, and learner-centered education. One such OTC, formed in partnership with Garodia International College (GIC) in Mumbai, allows local students to pursue SIM's Diploma in Management Studies program. Among the Higher Education Institutes partnered with SIM GE is the Jagannath Institute of Management School (JIMS) in Delhi. This collaboration facilitates student exchanges to SIM and enables the transfer of academic credits for modules completed at SIM GE, fulfilling the requirements of the students' local education programs.
SIM's educational model is in harmony with India's focus on the Education 4.0 revolution, emphasizing inclusive learning and increased employability. Beyond academic experiences, SIM GE is renowned for fostering a vibrant student community, providing career coaching support, and offering an array of networking activities that contribute to professional development and the cultivation of soft skills. These factors are significant considerations for Indian students when choosing SIM GE for their education. The campus is recognized for providing a conducive and comprehensive environment for student learning.
As part of a tour organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), SIM GE played host to a delegation of over 45 School Management Owners and Directors from India. During the visit, discussions on potential collaborations took place. Dr. Rajesh Pankaj, Director and Head of Education and Skills at FICCI, expressed that the tour was an enriching experience. He highlighted SIM's flexible framework for promoting quality education, foreseeing its significant role in advancing the internationalization of education and providing students with a rich academic experience.
SIM GE, with over 10 globally recognized university partners, offers an extensive range of academic programs, including diplomas, graduate diplomas, bachelor's, and master's degree programs. These collaborations span reputed institutions from Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, such as the University at Buffalo (State University of New York), University of London, University of Birmingham, RMIT, University of Wollongong, and more. Students also have the opportunity to participate in exchange programs, visiting their partner universities overseas. Popular courses among Indian students include Business Management, Accounting and Finance, Data Sciences, Business Analytics, Computing, AI, Big Data, International Business, and Fashion, Design, and Luxury Management.
