School teams up with NGO to empower students with entrepreneurial skills: Bahrain

  • In a forward-thinking initiative, New Millennium School collaborated with INJAZ Bahrain, a non-profit organization committed to preparing youth for the contemporary business world. Together, they organized a series of workshops spanning Grade 4 to Grade 12. These workshops went beyond traditional teaching methods, providing students with a platform for hands-on experience in entrepreneurial activities. Guided by INJAZ volunteers, students explored the field of entrepreneurship, working collaboratively in teams to generate and present startup ideas. What made this initiative distinctive was the emphasis on using recycled materials, allowing students to unleash their creativity and imagination while also contributing to sustainability.

INJAZ volunteers went beyond mere supervision, offering personalized mentorship to steer these young minds through the intricate journey of business idea development. This encompassed honing skills in pitching, market planning, and navigating the complexities of financial planning. The students noted substantial improvement in various areas, including communication, information interpretation, analysis, presentation, and concept selling. Mr. Arun Kuumar Sharma, the principal of New Millennium School, praised the INJAZ Bahrain team for their invaluable contribution. He expressed assurance that this initiative would shape the students into future successful and sustainable business leaders.

The students echoed this sentiment, conveying appreciation to the school management for orchestrating a captivating and educational experience. In the broader context, these workshops aspire to empower young individuals for economic success, providing them with essential skills to confront the challenges of the business world. In this endeavour, the goal is not merely to cultivate entrepreneurs but to nurture responsible and sustainable leaders for the future.
