MoU Opens New Higher Education Avenues in U.S. for Sharnbasva Univ Students

  • Kailash Chintamani, Managing Director-Asia and Member of the Board of Directors at Atlantics University in the United States commended Sharnbasva University for significantly benefiting its students by entering into a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This agreement has created extensive opportunities for higher education in engineering in the USA. Mr. Chintamani, speaking at the opening ceremony of a one-day international workshop titled 'Generative AI in Project Management' at Sharnbasva University's main campus, announced that two students have enrolled in the Master of Science (MS) program at Atlantics University in Miami, Florida, USA.

He added that the academic and professional future of the students opting for the MS course in the university will be more than bright. “The students will be offered online IT training as well as regular coaching and training. The university will also help with job placement for the students joining the university”, he said.

In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Anilkumar Bidve of Sharnbasva University emphasized that the 21st century is defined by Artificial Intelligence. He highlighted the university's initiative to pioneer new opportunities in this domain by launching two undergraduate programs—Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence and Data Science—as well as a postgraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences. These programs aim to prepare students to tackle upcoming challenges in the field.

“Many more programmes in Artificial Intelligence are in the offing and the university will adapt itself to the world of new technologies and offer courses in relevant areas. The main aim of the MoUs with universities in the developed countries is to bring the courses with the latest and relevant technologies in higher education to the doorsteps of the students of Sharnbasva University”, he said.

Mr. Bidve highlighted that pursuing MS degree courses through Sharnbasva University offers a more cost-effective option compared to engaging private agents and consultants for overseas admissions. Arun Chandra Mudol, Director of Eduventures in Bengaluru, provided comprehensive information to students, covering details on loan facilities and the admission process for these courses at foreign universities.

Depesh Banik, mentor and trainer at the Smart University Innovation Hub in Dhaka, Bangladesh, delivered a special lecture titled 'Generative AI in Project Management'. Present at the lecture were Registrar S.G. Dollegoudar, Director V.D. Mytri, Dean Lakshmi Patil Maka, Director of Research Sujatha Mallapur, and Dean of Engineering Technology (Co-Ed) Shivakumar Javalgi.
