MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education, the Qatar branch of India's Savitribai Phule Pune University, has introduced its first postgraduate program: the Executive MBA. This program is offered in partnership with the prestigious PUMBA school in Pune, which has a worldwide reputation for academic achievement. The ElevateQatar event intended to highlight the importance of management talent in propelling Qatar's entrepreneurial potential to new heights. MIE-SPPU chairman Ali bin Abdullatif al-Mesnad and Ooredoo Group chief human resources officer Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari spoke during the event. Ali al-Mesnad talked at the event about the significance of sensible leadership in business, which involves analyzing market situations, making swift market movements, and listening to customers.
Fatima al-Kuwari discussed how women in leadership in Qatar have debunked the misconception that business leadership is a one-gender domain and have demonstrated continuous accomplishments in corporate growth in Qatar. Her personal example of developing the Ooredoo brand and making critical decisions to maintain Ooredoo's position as the top telecom provider in Qatar was inspirational for the audience. The business leaders interacted with the media and the prospective students who were the invited guests, and all expressed their interest to join the university’s Executive MBA programme in its launch year of 2023. The MBA programme has six specialisations: Marketing Management, Financial Management, Operations Management, HR Management, Systems Management, and International Business Management. Students will have flexible timings after working hours.
