Kyrgyzstani students awarded at the International Zhautykov Olympiad

  • Kyrgyzstani school students achieved success by securing medals at the International Zhautykov Olympiad in mathematics, physics, and informatics held in Almaty in January 2024. According to the Ministry of Education and Science, the Olympiad featured 700 participants from 16 countries. The students from Kyrgyzstan earned 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in mathematics, 6 bronze medals in physics, and 2 silver along with 7 bronze medals in informatics.

    The annual International Zhautykov Olympiad stands as one of Kazakhstan's highly esteemed educational gatherings. Participants, showcasing their talents from over fifteen countries, engage in solving intricate problems in mathematics, physics, and computer science while working collaboratively in teams. This fosters a spirited competitive environment throughout the Olympic week. As the Zhautykov Olympiad's program has gained momentum over the years, attracting participants globally, the organizing committee has received significant support. The Minister expressed great honour in backing the committee and extended best wishes to all competitors and their coaches for a successful and memorable experience in Kazakhstan.

    The International Zhautykov Olympiad, named in honour of the distinguished Kazakh mathematician and academician Zhautykov Orymbek Akhmetbekovich, holds a significant position as one of the most esteemed educational events in Kazakhstan. For two decades, it has been organized under the auspices of the National School of Physics and Mathematics.
