In the world's rating, 10 Turkish colleges come in first

  • The top 1,000 of the 2024 QA World University Rankings includes 10 Turkish Universities, three of which are among the top 500. Significantly, one of the most noteworthy rankings in the world, the "2024 World University Rankings", was released by London-based higher education rating organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

    As per the QS rankings, Ten Turkish colleges made it into the top 1,000 on the list of the top 1,500 universities in the globe. The Istanbul Technical University (ITU) moved up from position 601-650 to number 404, while Middle East Technical University (METU) remained at position 336 in the top 500 list. The Koc University, the sole institution of higher education to make the top 500 last year and place 477th, came in at number 431 this year. The Boazici University, which had been in the 701-750 bands the previous year but was in the 561-570 band this year, moved up to 514th, while Bilkent University moved up to 502nd.

    In 2022, Sabanc University fell into the 531-540 range; this year, it was placed 526th. On the list of the top 1,000 universities were Istanbul University, Hacettepe University, Ankara University, and Yldz Technical University. However, the American and British institutions took the top three spots in the list of the world's leading universities. Once more taking the top position was the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The following two schools were Cambridge University and Oxford University. A few colleges posted about their accomplishments on their public social media profiles in the 2024 World Colleges Ranking.

    According to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a higher education assessment agency, METU is placed 1st position among all Turkish institutions and 336th globally in the 2024 World University Rankings.
