IIM Sambalpur Launches 4th Batch of Executive MBA for Global Professionals

  • IIM Sambalpur, a leading management institution, recently organized a two-day inauguration and orientation program for its 4th batch of Executive MBA (2024-26) in a hybrid format. This cohort includes working professionals from Singapore and Dubai, enhancing the class with international perspectives and global experience.

    The two-year degree program began with a vibrant cohort of 41 executives, each bringing extensive and diverse industry experience averaging around eight years. These participants originate from a variety of multinational companies such as Hindalco, TCS, Infosys, State Bank of India, Amazon, Accenture, Tata Power, NTT, Nokia, Magnus, and ICICI, among others. This diversity facilitated a valuable exchange of knowledge, innovative ideas, best practices, and new methodologies, fostering collaborative learning for mutual growth and global exposure in the classroom.

    The inaugural event featured distinguished industry veterans, including Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO of Tata Power Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), who served as the Chief Guest. Mr. Debashish Mallik, Joint President of Hirakud Complex at Hindalco Industries Limited, delivered insights as the keynote speaker, while Prof. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, extended the welcome address. Faculty members and students also attended the ceremony.

    On the second day, Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal led a session on 'Strategy for Business Growth,' followed by Professor Shikha Bhardwaj's discussion on 'Learners' Attitude and Academic Performance.' The day also included a session by S. Kannan, Senior Librarian, covering digital resources, library rules, and access. The Executive MBA Programme is specifically designed to reflect progressive organizational principles through interactive, practical learning approaches aimed at developing future leaders. The curriculum emphasizes addressing contemporary global trends, fostering international partnerships, aligning with governmental frameworks, and translating opportunities into actionable initiatives.
