IBM and the Commissionerate of Technical Education (CTE Gujarat) in collaboration with the Government of Gujarat have signed an MoU to enhance technical and professional education in the state. The partnership will utilize IBM SkillsBuild to equip learners in Gujarat with essential skills in emerging technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, hybrid cloud, and workplace skills for professional development. Union Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that Gujarat's commitment to fostering opportunities and developing a dynamic workforce has positioned it as a leader in both business and education. Collaborations like the one with IBM are expected to further elevate the state's technical education excellence, particularly in preparing a skilled workforce for emerging technologies like AI and hybrid cloud. This aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision, aiming to establish India as a Vishwa Guru and a prominent destination for knowledge and skill development under his leadership.

Recently, IBM introduced the new IBM Consulting Client Innovation Center (CIC) in Gandhinagar, focusing on key technology areas such as generative artificial intelligence (AI), hybrid cloud, and cybersecurity. IBM SkillsBuild is a pro-bono educational initiative designed specifically for underrepresented communities in the tech industry. This program serves as a valuable resource for adult learners, high school and university students, and faculty, facilitating the acquisition of essential skills in emerging technologies like AI and hybrid cloud. Additionally, it provides access to career opportunities and comprises an online platform complemented by practical experiences through strategic collaborations with a vast global network of partners.
