HappyMongo will deliver technology education in Sri Lankan schools

  • To help students stay updated with the rapidly evolving digital landscape of the contemporary world, HappyMongo has extended its services to offer technological education and training in schools in Sri Lanka. HappyMongo, an ed-tech company headquartered in Bangalore, India, collaborates with schools across India, delivering essential technology education to students and training teachers to effectively implement the HappyMongo program. In its expansion to Sri Lanka, HappyMongo will engage in partnerships with local schools to provide education to students ranging from kindergarten to Grade 13.

The ed-tech company, focused on technology education, is exploring collaborations with both private and government schools in Sri Lanka. In its nationwide school outreach efforts, HappyMongo is in the process of establishing a partnership with UNESCO. Additionally, the company is expecting a collaboration with M.D. Gunasena is a prominent bookseller in Sri Lanka with a widespread customer base. HappyMongo's CEO, Sivakarthikeyan Velayutham, mentioned that their goal is to establish AI labs in the partnered schools, offering a comprehensive program covering AI education, robotics, cyber security, and coding. Velayutham explained that HappyMongo provides a platform with essential features to efficiently deliver the program and commits to supplying the necessary equipment and materials for students' training and education in schools.

He clarified, "We opted to initiate a technology education program because we observed that many students completing their college and university education are often not adequately prepared for the industry. While students spend 12-13 years learning languages such as English, Sinhala, and Tamil, they encounter a significant shift when entering programs like Engineering at universities, where languages like Python and Java become prominent".
