Future Leaders Initiative Session at the University of Sharjah

  • The University of Sharjah's Institute for Leadership in Higher Education hosted a mentoring session for the third edition of the Emirati Future Leaders Initiative for Academic Excellence, which targeted national students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA. More specifically, the university focuses on empowering distinguished young talents to develop and achieve in accordance with the UAE's future directions and visions.

    The session was attended by the University's Chancellor, Prof. Hamid Majol Al Nuaimi, as well as Vice-Chancellors, Directors, and students. Dr. Al Nuaimi gave the opening speech, emphasizing that this initiative will pave the way for success and academic and professional excellence, and he urged national students to participate in this initiative and complete their degrees after graduation. Scholars, researchers, and renowned academic leaders in various fields at the university demonstrate the university's eagerness to provide all types of support and jobs to invest in the skills of the youth and benefit from their extensive knowledge and ambitious and bright ideas.

    Vice President for Academic Affairs Vice-Chancellor Youssef Al-Hayek stated that the program is one of the most important at the university for preparing future Emirati leaders. Dr. Muammar Al-Tayeb, Vice-Chancellor for Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies, praised the University of Sharjah's strong infrastructure for scientific research. Dr. Amina Al Marzooqi, Vice-Chancellor for Student and Branch Affairs, expressed pride in the University of Sharjah students' excellence and achievements in a variety of fields. Vice-Chancellor for Community Service Affairs Vice-Chancellor Salah Taher Al-Haj indicated the university’s interest in offering such programs to develop students’ skills and abilities in various fields.
