With immediate effect, the Education Ministry (MOE) granted Form Six College principals the authority to manage the student recruiting process. This modification, said Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek, is going to allow principals to deliver direct offers to prospective students who require the chance to continue their educational pursuits the necessity of waiting for a government offer as in past years.
She told reporters after the opening of the Pewaris Generasi Madani gathering at the Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Mahmud in this city today, "The principals can find Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school leavers who have not been given a place for higher studies without having to wait for an offer from the ministry”.
During the event, Fadhlina provided laptops funded by Malaysia Rail Link for the students who scored top marks in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination 2022. Further, Fadlina stated the authority granted broad access for B40 students to pursue their studies in Form Six.
