Collaboration among Four Institutions on Educational Prospects

  • In Thailand and Southeast Asia, a new collaboration with La Trobe University (Australia), Sheffield Hallam University (UK), Siam University (Thailand), and Nurture Higher Education is going to result in exciting possibilities for transnational education. The three institutions and Nurture Higher Education inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), at La Trobe University. The collaboration carries a goal to enroll 2000 students in the next five years and soon launch Global University Academy at Siam University, Bangkok.

It will provide international students from the larger Asian area, such as Myanmar and Cambodia, access to La Trobe University and Sheffield Hallam degrees along with offering local students the chance to finish a foreign degree at home. Students will have the choice of finishing their whole program in Thailand or coming to La Trobe or Sheffield Hallam to finish a portion of their degree, where they will have the chance to interact with Australian or British business partners. Programs in fields with strong labor market demand, such as computer science and hospitality, will be made available.
