For the purpose of transforming 36 government ITIs into a new Industry 4.0 Technological Hub, the Chhattisgarh government and Tata Technologies have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) valued at Rs. 1,188.36 crore. With the presence of the state's chief minister, Bhupesh Baghel, the MoU was exchanged by the Department of Technical Education and Skill Development and Tata Technologies. According to authorities, the partnership would supply six new crafts and 23 fresh short-term programs in 36 ITIs, in conjunction with modernized technical workshops and instructor setups.
The 36 Government ITIs, comprising the ones in Baikunthpur, Raigarh, Kharsiya, Mainpat, Bagicha, Lormi, Korba, Koni-Bilaspur, Janjgir, Hasaud, Dallirajhara, Akaltara, Rajnandgaon, Gunderdehi, Dongargaon, Manpur, Chhuikhadan, Pandariya, Abhanpur, Odgi Wadrafnagar, Gurur, Durg, Patan, Dharsiwa, Hirapur, Arang, Simga, Bhatapara, Pithora, Antagarh, Kanker, Charama, Bagbahra, Nagarnar, and Dantewada. A total of six new technical vocations are going to be offered at these ITIs. The sophisticated tool artisan, industrial robotics and digital manufacturing technician, and manufacturing process control and automation are among the trades shown in the one-year curriculum. They will offer guidance in advanced CNC Machining, Basic Designer and Virtual Verifier (Mechanical), and Mechanic Electric Vehicle skills, each of which is of the highest caliber, throughout the two-year curriculum.
In addition, Tata Technologies will be launching 23 short courses and six trades in 36 ITIs that have cutting-edge technical facilities. Two instructors are going to be supplied for the workshops' training sessions. The eligible youth of Chhattisgarh will be given placement chances because of Tata and its related companies. The effort intends to offer advanced skills training to over 10,000 students every year, boosting the state's job prospects. On October 1, 2022, in the presence of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, an MoU was concluded involving the State Planning Commission and Tata Technologies Limited with the aim of upgrading the state's technical institutions into technology hubs and centers for agricultural research and innovation.
