Airbus and IIM Mumbai launch Aviation Education for Professionals

  • Airbus has entered into an agreement with the Indian Institute of Management in Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) to offer aviation education to professionals. This collaboration aims to equip individuals with industry-relevant skills through Airbus Beyond programs. The agreement was formalized between Prof. Manoj K Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, and Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia. As per the terms, IIM Mumbai will provide brief aviation courses tailored for both aspiring and established professionals. These individuals will benefit from Airbus Beyond initiatives focusing on various domains including aviation logistics, supply chain management, operational efficiency, cargo management, strategic procurement, business analytics, and digitalization.

    Under the terms of the agreement, IIM Mumbai will be responsible for coordinating courses, enrolling students, and facilitating infrastructure and logistical needs. Airbus will contribute by supplying trainers and training materials sourced from the Airbus Beyond catalogue for short-term courses initially. In subsequent stages, Airbus will collaborate with IIM Mumbai to develop long-term courses and certify their trainers.
