Parliament deputy speaker MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein received on Sunday Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of South Korea Kim Young Joo and her accompanying delegation. Abou El-Enein welcomed the Korean parliamentary delegation, stressing the depth of Egyptian-Korean relations, which have witnessed positive momentum recently in light of the keenness of the political leadership of both friendly countries to strengthen them at various levels.
The Parliament deputy speaker expressed his willingness to strengthen Egyptian-Korean relations, especially with regard to industrial and economic exchange and cooperation and value-added industries, in light of Egyptian confidence in Korean industries. In addition, Abou El-Enein reviewed the efforts of the Egyptian state in building the foundations of the new republic in various fields, and the breakthroughs achieved in Egypt, especially in the fields of higher education, through increasing the number of universities and introducing modern majors, in addition to building industrial cities, economic zones, and smart cities, most notably the Administrative Capital. He also pointed out that Egypt has a comparative advantage in the trade field by concluding free trade agreements with the African continent, the Arab region, and the European Union, calling on the Korean side to pump more investments into the Promising Egyptian market.
Moreover, Abou El-Enein reviewed the current developments in the Palestinian territories, stressing his keenness to clarify the truth behind what the Palestinian people are exposed to, adding that what is currently happening in Palestine results from the failure of the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights. For her part, Kim Young-joo stressed that Egypt is a pioneering country and has a unique geopolitical position that gives it importance in the Middle East and Africa regions. She also stressed her country’s keenness on Strengthening Korean-Egyptian relations, especially in the trade, industrial and economic fields
