World University of Design is accepting applications for 2024 admissions

  • The World University of Design (WUD) has announced that it is now receiving online applications for its undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the 2024 academic year, according to the official statement. WUD boasts a variety of fields, such as Fashion, Product, Interior, Transportation, Graphic Communication, Animation, Film and Video, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Architecture, and Management, as highlighted in the release. The institute aims to simplify the application procedure for the upcoming academic term by providing easy access to the required forms through its official website.

The WUD Design Aptitude Test (WUDAT 2024) is set to take place on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, encompassing nearly 30 programs spanning diverse fields, according to the announcement. This design-focused online entrance examination is proctored and allows candidates to participate remotely from their homes using laptops. The two-hour test covers various sections, including Logical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and a Drawing-based segment, as outlined in the release.

Regarding the admission procedure, the university employs the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Art Aptitude Test (AAT), and General Aptitude Test (GAT) to evaluate candidates' suitability for creative education and to create a shortlist. Additionally, WUD acknowledges CUET scores for admission to specific degree programs such as BVA in Creative Painting, BVA in Digital Drawing and Illustrations, BPA in Dance, BPA in Music, BBA in Design Strategy and Management, and BBA in Fashion Business Management. Moreover, WUD has a collaborative arrangement with IIT Bombay, recognizing scores from the national-level UCEED and CEED exams for admissions into B.Des and M.Des degree programs.

Sanjay Gupta, the Vice-Chancellor of the World University of Design, highlighted, "WUDAT has become the gateway for establishing a successful career in Art, Architecture, or Design. Every year, numerous aspiring designers and creative individuals take the WUDAT entrance exam, aspiring to receive a quality education. Due to our limited capacity, our admission process is highly rigorous. Shortlisted candidates from the entrance exam must also pass the second round, which involves an interview-cum-portfolio assessment. Admission offers are then extended to a select few based on their performance in both rounds".
