Dr. Syazana Abdullah Lim is at the forefront of sustainable packaging research, exploring unconventional materials like sago starch and sugarcane bagasse. Her work addresses the urgent problem of plastic waste and pollution by developing environmentally friendly alternatives.  

    Dr. Heru Susanto is involved in diverse areas such as digital education, vertical rice farming, AI, and renewable energy. His team is developing AI predictive systems specifically for aquaculture, with the goal of revolutionizing the industry by enhancing productivity and efficient resource management. Dr. Lim Tiong Hoo concentrates on applied AI and optimizing edge AI, leading efforts in the integration of robotics. These innovations hold the potential to bring about significant changes in various industries and contribute to the improvement of daily life. 

    Dr. Wida Susanty binti Haji Suhaili focuses on leveraging advanced technologies to address environmental issues, such as the development of flood alert systems. These technological advancements serve not only to protect local communities but also contribute to global initiatives aimed at enhancing climate resilience. UTB actively encourages student participation in ongoing research endeavors, cultivating a collaborative culture across diverse academic disciplines.
