Through a collaboration with industry pioneers and esteemed universities in the Digital Education Council, our goal is to enable faculty and students to discover, use and implement cutting-edge solutions, shaping the very future of digital education", said Professor Venky Shankararaman, Vice Provost (Education), SMU.

Led by SuperCharger Ventures, the premier EdTech accelerator globally, the DEC is dedicated to enhancing access to state-of-the-art resources, fostering knowledge exchange, and driving innovation. Its inaugural members comprise the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Melbourne Business School, Esade (Spain), Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), and the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).

In addition, the DEC network would foster even more connections with startups and accelerators, creating myriad opportunities for SMU students who are focused on innovation and entrepreneurship major”, commented Prof Shankararaman.
