Sharjah Private Education Authority has launched a thorough assessment of private schools around the emirate to ensure they are completely equipped for the upcoming academic year. Over the next three weeks, inspections will be conducted at all 127 private schools in Sharjah, which will teach 181,175 students this year, including 21,995 Emiratis. The inspections are part of the education regulator's pre-school-year examinations to ensure that schools provide a stable and high-quality educational environment for students. They are distinct from SPEA's Itqan evaluation program, which reviews school performance on a yearly basis. SPEA inspectors began their visits at Sama American Private School in the Al Azra neighborhood on Monday morning. SPEA's top administration also paid a visit to the school. "We are visiting both schools that are being inspected today by our teams just to wish our pupils a happy start to their new academic year," SPEA director Ali Al Hosani told The National. According to Nadia Al Hosani, manager of SPEA's Inspection and Compliance Department, these inspections cover a wide range of topics.
"We evaluate the facilities on multiple fronts, including safety, ventilation, hygiene, classroom temperatures, and even the shade in the schoolyard," she explained. According to her, SPEA's evaluation of each school guarantees that every kid has a healthy and safe learning environment. "The two schools we inspected on Monday were completely cooperative and eager to welcome students back to the classrooms," Ms Al Hosani added. The examination by SPEA also tracks the development of the 'Your Children Are Safe' project. The initiative, which aims to improve safety, allows parents to follow their children's trips to and from school using cameras installed inside school buses.
