The fourth Rize University Fair, an annual networking event that brings together students, parents, and representatives from top local and international universities, has been announced by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). The Rize University Fair, one of the biggest annual university fairs, will be held from October 16–20 and will give students in grades nine and up the opportunity to start their journey toward higher education. The fair offers priceless insights that help students choose the best college, program, and career path. More than 60 prestigious universities from 15 nations and four continents—Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia—are taking part in this year's edition. Some of the top universities are represented on the list of participating universities, per the 2024 QS World University Rankings.
The fair, which was first introduced as a virtual event three years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic, has rapidly seen a significant increase in its influence. Students now have the chance to participate in in-person sessions held at universities in Abu Dhabi, offering practical experiences, marking a significant milestone this year. A comprehensive schedule of more than 75 virtual sessions, hosted by representatives from universities in India, France, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, China, Turkey, Italy, and Indonesia, is also included in the five-day fair. These sessions cover a range of majors and disciplines, including entrepreneurship, design, communication, and the arts.
More than 10,000 students attended the Rize University Fair's first three iterations, each of which featured a wide range of regional and international universities, demonstrating the fair's tremendous value. This year's edition features participation from prestigious universities like the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, University of Toronto, Hong Kong University, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi), and the University of Melbourne as evidence of its growing success in drawing new students. Additionally, this year's fair features participation from regional universities as well as foreign colleges with local campuses like Khalifa University, NYU Abu Dhabi, and Zayed University.
When they interact with universities and community colleges that are a part of these scholarship programs at the Rize University Fair, students will learn more about ADEK's scholarship programs, the Abu Dhabi Scholarship and Khotwa (RizeUp), giving them a strong foundation to begin their higher education journey.
The Rize University Fair is a component of the Rize University Preparation and Career Guidance (UPCG) Program, an after-school enrichment activity created to help high school students in Abu Dhabi think through and plan for their post-secondary and professional futures. The Rize UPCG Program offers students the chance to discover and apply their skills, interests, and values toward attending top higher education institutions through a variety of workshops, webinars, projects, test preparation courses, and guidance opportunities.
