Quality education: Dawood University's admittance exam 2023 establishes new benchmarks

  • Dawood University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) Karachi held its Fall Intake 2023 admittance test on Sunday, setting new standards for openness and organization. The test, which was organized by IBA Karachi Testing Services, was held in two sessions, morning and evening, and attracted a whopping 2700 applicants out of the 3068 who registered. Candidates from all around Sindh and Pakistan came to the IBA Karachi campus to compete for spots in the university's top engineering and technology programs. The appeal of merit-based and self-financing schemes drew these bright young minds together, each fighting for a coveted slot among the 12-degree programs offered by DUET. One of the most encouraging parts of this year's admission test was the impressive participation of female applicants, who made up 23 percent of all registrants. This increase in female participation indicates a favorable move toward more gender inclusion in engineering and technology. The great attention to detail in guaranteeing candidate comfort and a transparent testing atmosphere definitely distinguished this year's admission exam. The institution equipped candidates with air-conditioned examination rooms, allowing them to exhibit their abilities in a comfortable environment. Furthermore, a shuttle service was set up to assist with smooth and hassle-free transportation from the main entrance to the exam centers, alleviating any logistical worries applicants may have had.

As guardians and parents watched the smooth arrangements put in place by DUET's admission committee and the supporting team from IBA Karachi, parental pleasure rippled through the air. The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Samreen Hussain (T.I), Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Waheed Bhutto, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah, and members of the Admission Committee oversaw the entire process, from the test to the facilities provided to both candidates and their parents or guardians. This year also saw the introduction of an innovative measure: the use of QR codes for electronic attendance marking. This upgraded method of attendance monitoring illustrates DUET's visionary leadership and dedication to embracing cutting-edge technology in education. Candidates and their families alike expressed delight and satisfaction for the test's rigorous and speedy completion. Following the exam, university officials met with parents and candidates to solicit input on the arrangements and perceived difficulty level of the test, exhibiting a commitment to continual development. The Fall Intake 2023 admission test at DUET demonstrates the university's unwavering dedication to quality education, open testing methods, and effective administration. As the institution evolves, it is obvious that these initiatives not only represent the university's principles but also pave the way for a future in which merit and distinction are at the forefront of engineering and technology education in Pakistan.
