Ministry of Education and Higher Education to hold workshops for school leaders, teachers, staff: Qatar

  • The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has said that annual educational assembly, which will take place from August 21 to 23, will feature a diverse array of training programmes for school leadership and academic and administrative personnel. Within the framework of the preparations by the MoEHE for the new academic year 2023-2024, which will be inaugurated at the annual educational meeting under the patronage and presence of Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi today. Assistant Undersecretary for the Educational Affairs Sector, Maha Zayed Al Qaqaa Al Ruwaili said that the primary objective of this annual educational meeting is to prepare the atmosphere to welcome approximately 132,000 students this year, in addition to providing all the possibilities that contribute to delivering high-quality education for all students. She added that the annual educational meeting is an essential forum for building learning communities that contribute to achieving the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Al Ruwaili said that the meeting will be a promising opportunity to share experiences and benefit from them in improving educational strategies and practices in our schools. 

    The first day of the annual educational assembly’s events will be hosted at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC). During this day, Minister of Education and Higher Education will meet with school leadership, academic staff, and administrative personnel, warmly welcoming the new teachers joining the teaching profession, including 102 female teachers. These teachers are graduates of the “Tamheen” programme and the “Good Start” initiative. Additionally, a dialogue session will address the theme of professional relationships within educational institutions and their impact on enhancing educational outcomes. The training programmes offered are characterised by their diversity, as they target all categories of the educational system. The programmes have been allocated to government school leaders, academic, administrative, and Kindergarten Affairs Deputies. These programmes focus on institutional culture, work ethics and values, sustainable development in schools, career paths, career advancement, and the preparation of counselors in schools.
