Malaysia National Championship 2024: Finas Chairman Applauds Talent Development

  • The 9th Annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Event - Malaysia National Championship 2024, a collaboration between Creative Cloud Community and Acestar, has been officially launched. This event proudly presents two categories: the CCC's Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) Malaysia National Championship 2024 and Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Malaysia National Championship 2024. The ceremony, which took place at Nexus, Bangsar South, and was inaugurated by Dato’ Kamil Othman, Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation (FINAS), aims to usher in a new era of creativity, education, talent development, and social awareness throughout the country. The championship is accessible to individuals aged 13 to 22 in both categories, with official registrations by educational institutions at the secondary and tertiary levels. Schools and universities have the opportunity to enroll their students from January 9, 2024, until the application deadline on February 16, 2024.

The 9th edition of the CCC's Adobe Certified Professional Malaysia National Championship category evaluates participants' proficiency in generating creative content using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. The competition revolves around themes set by the organizers in collaboration with NGO Program Strategic Partners, scheduled for February 2024. Participants will undergo four qualifying stages, culminating in the CCC’s Adobe Certified Professional Malaysia National Championship 2024 Grand Finale, where the Grand Champion will be determined. The winner in this category, exclusively sponsored by Acestar, will have the opportunity to represent the country at the Certiport’s Adobe Certified Professional World Championship 2024 in the United States (US).

Simultaneously, the Microsoft Office Specialist Malaysia National Championship 2024, marking its fourth occurrence in the country, will evaluate participants' proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Each software will be assessed based on specific criteria and evaluations. Participants will navigate through three qualifying stages leading up to the Grand Finale, where the victors will be declared to represent Malaysia in the global final, also held in the US. Both competitions are scheduled to commence on February 23, 2024, and will conclude with the Grand Finales on May 21, 2024. During the event, Adjunct Professor Natalie Sit, Group CEO of Acestar and Founder of the Creative Cloud Community, articulated an ambitious vision - aiming to enhance the skills of 10% of Malaysia's population through the Micro-Credentials Certifications Program.
