DPWH recently completed two new school buildings in Tarlac that enhance the quality of education for the benefit of both the students and teachers.
The two-storey buildings at San Agustin Integrated School and San Manuel National High School in San Manuel town are six-classroom each, which amounts to 304 square meters of floor area.
In the province of Tarlac, the Department of Public Works and Highways completes two new school buildings upgrading educational facilities for the students and their teachers to avail.
The new buildings are designed to serve not only as a support system but also as comforters during times of public emergencies, District Engineer Neil Farala of the DPWH Tarlac 1st District has said.
It has comfort rooms, water tanks, fire safety equipment, new blackboards, wall fans, and closed-circuit television inside the buildings in order to provide a safe, comfortable, and convenient working and studying condition to both the teachers and students.
Farala said the new classrooms will alleviate crowding and other related problems for better conditions of learning in Barangays San Agustin and San Manuel.
Funded through the Department of Education's Basic Education Facilities Fund under the 2024 national budget, the P49-million projects were completed on schedule.
