Atinga Moirangcha Educational & Research Foundation (AMERF) has entered into an agreement with Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU) in Uzbekistan. The partnership aims to enable Indian medical students to pursue MBBS studies in a globally recognized institution. Established in 1930, Samarkand State Medical University (SSMU) boasts a robust 93-year history in nurturing competent and devoted medical professionals. With a current enrollment of over 1500 Indian students, the institution has become a favoured choice among Indian aspirants. Recognizing the cultural affinity between Northeast India and Uzbekistan, AMERF actively supports students from the region in their educational pursuits. One notable aspect of SSMU is its affordability, with a semester costing a mere $1600, presenting a cost-effective option for Indian students compared to other international alternatives. Dr. Atom Sunil, spearheading the initiative alongside Dr. Sunil Sharma, Director of MD House, and Joychand Moirangthem, AMERF's Director of MBBS Abroad, are dedicated to guiding students throughout the entire process, bridging the gap between aspirations and opportunities.
