ADU and Beirut Arab University Collaborate to Advance Innovation and Research

  • Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beirut Arab University (BAU) to enhance innovation and research skills in health sciences for ADU's College of Health Sciences students and faculty. The agreement seeks to offer access to top-notch programs addressing the latest health science challenges and promote collaborative academic research activities. 

    ADU and BAU will collaborate to provide students with internship opportunities and facilitate student and faculty exchanges, along with specialized training programs. The signed MoU, led by Professor Ghassan Aouad, ADU's Chancellor, and Professor Wael Nabil Abdel Salam, BAU's President, reflects both institutions' dedication to advancing knowledge, promoting innovation, and addressing global challenges. The agreement is anticipated to lead to joint publications, research initiatives, and other academic pursuits contributing to the progress of education and research in the region.

    Professor Ghassan Aouad, ADU's Chancellor, expressed the institution's commitment to providing students with diverse opportunities to enrich their academic experiences, gain essential practical knowledge, and further their expertise in respective fields through the signed MoU. Emphasizing the student-centric approach at ADU, he highlighted the dedication to empowering students for success and preparation in a dynamic market. The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate programs in public health, environmental health and safety, biomedical sciences (laboratory medicine), molecular and medical genetics, as well as human nutrition and dietetics.

    Established in 1960, Beirut Arab University is a Lebanese private university primarily situated in Beirut, Lebanon. Founded by the Lebanese Waqf El-Bir wal Ihsan Society, its main campus is located near the southern entrance of Beirut, with additional satellite campuses in Dibbiyeh and Tripoli.
