Even the Nepalese government has been a prominent piece in the significant efforts to improve access to education, particularly in rural and remote areas, and the results have been encouraging. Though the country is famous for medical studies in terms of quslity and affordability there are many other things it is touching upon significantly, and the region is extensively growing in other disciplines as well, be it Engineering, Science, and others. There are 9 universities accredited by the Government of Nepal, amongst which, Tribhuvan University and Nepal Sanskrit University are state-run universities and the rest are founded as per the multi-university concept adopted the Government of Nepal in 1983 backed by the government partially. Especially, the educational hub of the nation, Kathmandu is home to the maximum number of colleges and other educational institutions compared to any other cities in the country. Kathmandu offers several streams' course of study and colleges a student looks for.
