During a recent visit to China, representatives from South Ural State University (SUSU) engaged in a working meeting with Zhengzhou University of Aeronautics (ZUA) to discuss ongoing and future cooperation. SUSU and ZUA have a longstanding partnership, exemplified by the South Ural Institute, which they jointly established at ZUA. This institute enrolls around 1,000 Chinese students specializing in Engineering and IT. Additionally, a growing number of Chinese students are opting to study at SUSU’s campus.
In a meeting with ZUA Rector Liu Daijun, discussions focused on broadening collaboration in Engineering and Information Technology. They also explored the possibility of opening joint laboratories for the study of Russian and Chinese languages, as well as Law. Plans were made to develop joint Master's and postgraduate degree programs.
The Unified Governing Council also convened during this visit, where annual reports on the South Ural Institute’s activities were presented. New educational programs and scientific research projects were outlined, emphasizing the commitment to expanding academic and research collaborations.
Moreover, the SUSU delegation met with students from the South Ural Institute. The students showed enthusiasm for pursuing Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Chelyabinsk at SUSU's world-class Interuniversity Campus. This interaction highlighted the students' interest in furthering their education at SUSU, reflecting the strong academic ties between the two institutions.
The visit underscored the successful and growing partnership between SUSU and ZUA, with both universities committed to enhancing their cooperative efforts. The expansion plans, including new joint educational initiatives and research projects, signify a deepening relationship aimed at providing high-quality education and fostering international academic exchange.
