IIT Delhi to admit Students to Abu Dhabi campus via JEE Advanced

  • The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) has introduced its inaugural undergraduate (UG) programmes at its Abu Dhabi campus, commencing in the 2024-25 academic year. Each of the two new UG courses will start with 30 students. Up to 10 seats per course will be reserved for students qualifying through the JEE Advanced examination, while the remaining 20 seats will be filled via the merit list of the Combined Admission Entrance Test (CAET), a new exam specifically designed for UAE by IIT Delhi.

The CAET, administered by the JEE Office at IIT Delhi, is scheduled for June 23, 2024, and will be conducted at various centers across the UAE. It is open to UAE residents, including nationals, expatriates, and international students. Registration for the CAET is available until June 10, 2024.

Students qualifying through JEE Advanced 2024 can apply for admission to IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi via a dedicated portal accessible from the IIT Delhi website post-JEE Advanced results. The seat allocation for both JEE Advanced and CAET entrants will occur through this portal, bypassing the JoSAA portal.

JEE Advanced-qualified candidates will only need to pay the same fees as they would at IIT Delhi's main campus, with the remainder waived. Additionally, they will receive a monthly stipend of AED 2000, free double occupancy hostel accommodation, subsidized food, and an annual travel allowance of AED 4000. Their medical insurance and welfare needs will also be addressed.

The Computer Science and Engineering UG programme at IIT Delhi’s Abu Dhabi campus aims to equip students with essential skills for the digital era, covering areas such as computer architecture, systems, software design, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The Energy Engineering UG programme focuses on addressing global energy production, consumption, and sustainability challenges.
