The International Education group at Cambridge University Press & Assessment celebrated the exceptional achievements of Viet Nam’s top-performing students in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards. These awards, which honour students excelling in Cambridge IGCSE and International AS & A Level examinations across more than 40 countries, highlighted Viet Nam’s growing reputation for academic excellence. Viet Nam’s students outperformed hundreds of thousands of candidates worldwide, showcasing their dedication and the country’s high educational standards.
In the June 2024 Cambridge International Education examination series, 74 students from 24 schools across Viet Nam were recognised for their outstanding performance. Among them, 18 students earned the prestigious 'Top in the World' title for achieving the highest marks globally in their subjects. An additional 42 students were celebrated as 'Top in Viet Nam', and 21 students received "High Achievement" awards for excelling in subjects not widely taken.
Kanjna Paranthaman, Regional Director for Southeast Asia & Pacific at Cambridge, praised the students' accomplishments, stating, "Their success reflects not only their hard work and dedication but also the unwavering support of their teachers and parents. These remarkable results highlight the value of Cambridge qualifications in preparing learners for success at university and in a rapidly changing world".
Among the honorees, Greenfield School student Hoang Minh Khanh, who received the 'Top in the World' award for Information Technology in the Cambridge International A Level, expressed her gratitude and disbelief. "There were times when I worried endlessly, wondering if all the hard work would amount to nothing. But receiving this award brought me such a sense of relief it felt like a reminder that hard work, perseverance, and discipline always pay off", she shared.
Cambridge qualifications, recognised by leading universities worldwide, aim to equip students with critical thinking skills, independent learning abilities, and deep subject knowledge. The achievements of Viet Nam’s students in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards underscore their potential to excel on the global stage and further solidify Viet Nam’s status as a hub for academic excellence.
