UNNES Strengthens Ties with Thailand, Hosts Six Kasetsart University Students

  • In support of the mutual international cooperation between Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and Kasetsart University, Thailand, UNNES organized an audience session within the Lantip International Inbound program, at the vicon of the Rectorate Building with the presence of six students from Kasetsart University and their chaperoning lecturer, Dr. Kulthida Nugulthampada. This activity represents the practice of a mutual international cooperation between UNNES and Kasetsart University.

    During her speech, the Head of the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LPPP) UNNES, Prof. Dr. Rodiyah, S.Pd., S.H., M.Si., delivered two main messages. First, the Lantip International program is a tangible expression of the mutual cooperation that has been built between the two institutions since 2016. Second, Prof. Rodiyah hoped that this program will be continued in the future with other cooperative activities that are mutually beneficial.

    The Lantip International Inbound program will last for 21 days, with academic interaction and cultural exchange. The students who participate will take courses in study programs corresponding to their academic fields, as follows:

    Pitchayaporn Srathongno – Mathematics Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA)

    Pemika Phumporn – Science Education, FMIPA

    Sutthicha Preesamut – Science Education, FMIPA

    Yada Pewjumthongdee – Science Education, FMIPA

    Thanika Khamnuch – English Education, Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS)

    Punnapak Wongchote – Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR), Faculty of Sports Science (FIK)

    The session also involved the Secretary of LPPP, Vice Deans I of FMIPA and FIPP, SDGs Center and Office of International Affairs Heads, Secretary of the Office of International Affairs, and program supporting staff.

    Apart from the Lantip program, the cooperation between UNNES and Kasetsart University also includes joint research and scientific publications by FMIPA and FIPP lecturers. These activities reflect UNNES' strong commitment to broadening its international network and strengthening academic quality at the global level.
