This partnership signifies a noteworthy achievement for IIM Sirmaur, reinforcing its position as a premier institute of excellence and specialization in the realm of tourism.

ITSA holds a unique place among the international associations of tourism scholars and practitioners. It is the only formal tourism association that has the mission to encourage interaction and cooperation between members in developing and developed countries. ITSA has representations in Canada, the USA, Caribbean regions, South America, UK and Ireland, Western Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, China, East Africa, South Africa, Indonesia, Australasia/Oceania, and now India.

The International Journal of Tourism Cities (IJTC), the endorsed journal of ITSA, was established in 2015 and currently holds a Q1 ranking on Scopus. The journal has consistently experienced robust growth in both citations and downloads each year. In 2023 alone, it has amassed 65,593 downloads and received 1,247 citations, attesting to its enduring popularity and impact in the field.

The institute's recent alliance with ITSA has positioned it prominently in the worldwide tourism education arena. Being a part of the International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA) offers distinct advantages, setting it apart from other academic or professional associations in the realm of tourism studies within India.

As IIMS establishes itself as a leading institution in Tourism Management, collaboration with ITSA will provide it with opportunities such as joint teaching, exchange programs, and research opportunities. The association also offers exclusive access to cutting-edge research, resources, and industry trends, enriching members’ knowledge and enhancing their careers.
